TORONTO – Janet Gillespie is Canadian Satellite Radio’s new vice president of marketing.
"We are delighted to have someone with Janet’s background and experience join XM Canada at a time when the company is poised to make a significant mark in the Canadian satellite radio industry," said Michael Moskowitz, president and CEO of XM Canada, in a press release.
Gillespie has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and sales from a variety of leading technology and communications firms, including the past eight years at smart phone maker Palm Canada Inc. Most recently, she was responsible for wireless carrier business development where she held overall sales and account management responsibility for Treo smart phones to Canada’s wireless carriers.
XM Canada also announced that Donald McKenzie will depart his position as XM Canada’s senior vice president of sales and marketing on January 11, 2008.
"I would like to thank Donald for his contributions over the past year and a half as we moved forward to the next stage of development as Canada’s premium digital audio entertainment and information company," said Moskowitz. "We wish him all the best in his future endeavors."
