XM Canada expects to ship more than 100,000 receivers

TORONTO – Sales of XM Canada radios and subscription services are so brisk that the company says it expects more than 100,000 receivers will have been shipped to stores across Canada by Christmas, exceeding expectations. The receivers are available at more than 1,000 outlets across Canada, including Best Buy, Future Shop, The Source, Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire, and London Drugs. Some have placed additional orders for units they’ve sold. XM Canada says it is also negotiating with four other car manufacturers to install XM satellite radios.
