Wry to retire from Super Channel

EDMONTON – Super Channel’s national creative development representative Nic Wry is retiring August 1, 2008 after three decades in the film and television production business, announced the company today

“Nic was the driving force behind the efforts to obtain a licence for Super Channel and his determination will be missed,” said Chuck Allard, chairman of Allarco Entertainment, which owns national pay channel Super Channel, in a release. “While Nic will be changing up the pace and retiring, I am reassured that we will still have the benefit of his experience as a consultant as the need arises.”

Super Channel’s creative development team will continue to be the contact in each of their respective provinces, coming together to discuss productions.

As the first year comes to a close, the team is finalizing its annual development commitments to Canadian productions and looks forward to working with producers in the fall, added the release.
