Writers Guild of Canada reaches tentative agreement with Canadian producers

MONTREAL - The Writers Guild of Canada (WGC) has reached a tentative agreement with the Canadian Media Production Association (CMPA) and the Quebec Film and Television Producers Association (APFTQ) on a new Independent Production Agreement (IPA) for Canadian screenwriters. “We are pleased to have reached a workable agreement with our production partners that recognizes the valuable contribution of Canadian screenwriters,” said Maureen Parker, WGC Executive Director in a news release.
