Wow! Unlimited’s Castlevania renewed for fourth season on Netflix


TORONTO — Having received favourable reviews for the third season of its animated series Castlevania, released March 5 on Netflix, Toronto’s Wow! Unlimited Media and its Los Angeles-based Frederator Studios announced Tuesday the hit series has been renewed for a fourth season on Netflix.

Season three has achieved a 100% critic’s rating on Rotten Tomatoes and has regularly appeared on Netflix’s “Top 10” list in multiple territories, says today’s news release. Content demand analytics company Parrot Analytics found Castlevania to be the eighth most in-demand original series in the United States across all streaming platforms in the week following its third-season premiere on Netflix, according to the news release.

The Castlevania series originally debuted on Netflix in July 2017 and became the most in-demand digital original series in the U.S. within two weeks, according to Parrot Analytics. In its second season, the show received a 100% critic’s rating on Rotten Tomatoes and was named the Best Animated TV Series of 2018 by IGN, a popular video game and media website, according to the news release.
