OTTAWA – Mike Woollatt, vice-president of government affairs for Bell Media, is leaving the company effective December 30. No immediate reason was given for his departure.
Before joining Bell Media in 2010, Woollatt was vice-president, government relations for Canwest, plus spent many years in Ottawa at the Department of Finance, including in a role as Advisor to the Minister.
“Since he joined the company early last year, Mike has been responsible for all facets of Bell Media government affairs activities”, reads a note to staff by Mirko Bibic, SVP of regulatory and government affairs sent Thursday. “Mike has played a key role in Bell’s purchase of CTV, our seamless digital transition, copyright, and managing our corporate reputation in Ottawa. Mike also was integral in ensuring the effective integration of the Bell Media and BCE Government Affairs teams.”
Government affairs for Bell Media will be assumed by the Bell Government Affairs team, Bibic's note continued.
