TORONTO – With the Crystal Awards less than a week away, the Radio Marketing Bureau has confirmed the gala’s musical lineup.
This year’s show features two internationally top-selling artists – Canadian urban pop recording star Karl Wolf and English jazz-pop singer/songwriter Jamie Cullum.
Montreal-based Wolf has made a name for himself with chart toppers like ‘Africa’ (a cover of Toto’s 1982 hit), ‘Carrera’ and ‘Yalla Habibi’, on his latest album called Nightlife. He has received nominations for a Juno Award, multiple nominations for Much Music Video Awards, and won an MTV Europe Award for Best Arabia New Act.
Cullum is a cross-over artist with roots firmly planted in jazz. A vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, his live shows are known for their energy and huge genre-bending variety. He has also collaborated with artists such as Lady Gaga, Joy Division, Justin Timberlake and Massive Attack on a variety of projects.
Scheduled for March 11, 2010 at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto, the Crystal Awards Gala will be hosted by RMB president Gary Belgrave.
