With People's folded in, Amtelecom rises

AYLMER, Ont. - For the second quarter of 2006, Amtelecom Income Fund generated revenues from telecommunications, cable TV and Internet operations of $7.8 million, earnings before financing costs, income taxes and amortization (EBITDA) of $3.8 million and net earnings of $1.3 million. This compares to revenues of $6.1 million, EBITDA of $2.9 million and net earnings of $1.3 million in the second quarter of 2005.
