WINNIPEG – Popular radio morning show Wheeler in the Morning will make its television debut Monday morning on City in Winnipeg, replacing Breakfast Television in that market.
Hosted by veteran on-air personality Dave Wheeler and featuring City personalities Drew Kozub and Jenna Khan, as well as current morning radio team Phil Aubrey and Rena Jae (pictured), Wheeler in the Morning will offer live in-studio and on-location interviews with local personalities, politicians, and experts, in addition to news, weather, and traffic highlights, offering Winnipeggers everything they need to start their day off right.
In addition to the City broadcast, viewers can stream Wheeler in the Morning live through Citytv.com/Winnipeg on tablet and on mobile. The radio show Wheeler in the Morning with Philly and Rena will continue to broadcast in its current format from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM CT on Rogers Radio station 92 CITI-FM.
“The chemistry between Wheeler, Philly, and Rena is infectious, and we’re excited to bring this power-house crew to our audiences along with City favourites Drew Kozub and Jenna Khan,” said Jordan Schwartz, Rogers’ VP of in-house productions, in the news release. “Rogers is home to Canada’s leading media brands, and by bringing our radio and TV assets together through integrating Wheeler in the Morning into the City schedule, we can offer more breadth of topics that matter to local audiences.”
Launching January 12, Wheeler in the Morning will air weekdays from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM CT on City from the revitalized City studio located in the heart of Winnipeg at The Forks.
