TORONTO – To celebrate the arrival of spring, Wind Mobile is cutting the prices on some of its mobile handsets plus will introduce some new devices this weekend.
Eight handsets will be on sale during the ‘March into Wind’ event, including the Huawei U1250, on for half price at $29, the Nokia 5230, on sale for $88, and the Samsung Gravity 2 for $68. In addition, Wind will debut its new WindSpeed pocket hotspot which lets users transform their Wind mobile broadband service into a portable Wifi hotspot, and the Nokia C7, which is exclusive to Wind, and includes an eight mega-pixel camera and HD video.
“More Canadians are leaving the ‘Big 3’ and coming to Wind than any other operator. The big reason: they want to save money and have a better experience. This weekend we are giving them another reason”, said CEO Ken Campbell, in the announcement. “They told us they wanted more hand-set choices, we listened, and we delivered. This weekend only, we have great deals on handsets in store, plus are introducing three new devices this month.”
