ACCORDING TO THE third quarter results of parent company Orascom Telecom, its Canadian operation, Wind Mobile, now has over 140,000 subscribers in Canada.As of the end of September this year, Orascom itself had a total of 103 million subscribers, a 16% increase over the same period last year while “the Canadian operation, Wind Mobile, saw also a dramatic acceleration of its subscribers, increasing by 49% (quarter over quarter), reaching 140 thousand by the end of Q3 2010,” reads the November 7th Orascom release.Orascom owns 65% of the equity of Wind’s Canadian owner, Globalive, but has a minority voting stake.www.globalive.com www.orascomtelecom.com
