TORONTO, – Wind Mobile today launched the country’s first phone-to-phone international credit transfer service. This enables Wind Mobile customers to send airtime credit in the form of prepaid top-ups to their family and friends overseas.
International credit transfer, while new to Canada, is used around the globe as a low cost solution for wireless users who are seeking a complement to regular international money transfers.
The service will enable any Wind Mobile Pay Before customer to remotely recharge prepaid phones n more than 65 countries that are currently serviced by partner carriers including China, India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.
To make an International Credit Transfer, Wind Mobile customers can text SEND to 888 and then follow the simple step-by-step menu. The top-up is performed in real time and both the sender and the recipient receive a text notification once the transfer is completed.
