TORONTO – Wind Mobile is bringing its service to the St. Catharines and Welland areas of Ontario, plus is adding six new devices to its lineup.

The wireless upstart said Monday that the BlackBerry Bold 9900 will be available Thursday for $169 at all Wind locations, and the BlackBerry Curve 9360, BlackBerry Torch 9810, Nokia 500, Huawei U8350 and U2801 will soon follow.

Wind opened a kiosk in the Seaway Mall over the weekend and a location in the Pen Centre in St. Catharines on Monday.  Coverage of the Niagara region is planned to launch in the near future.

“Product and service expansion is at the core of our commitment to bring wireless change to all Canadians,” said CEO Anthony Lacavera, in the announcement.  “With the addition of these devices and the beginning of our coverage roll out in the St. Catharines region, we are moving closer to our goal of becoming Canada’s forth national carrier.”
