WildBrain launches new FAST channels across Europe


WildBrain announced Tuesday it has expanded its presence in the free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) kids’ space with new channels launched across Europe for a range of brands including Teletubbies, Strawberry Shortcake, Degrassi, Sonic and more.

LG Channels has launched a new channel for Sonic in Italy, as well as a new Strawberry Shortcake channel in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In the UK, LG Channels has rolled out new offerings for a range of beloved IP, including Strawberry Shortcake, Sonic, Super Mario, Slugterra, Rev & Roll, and Rainbow Ruby.

In France, TCL Channel and Rakuten TV have introduced new Degrassi channels, with TCL Channel also rolling out a new Strawberry Shortcake offering.

Additionally, TCL Channel has launched new Teletubbies and Strawberry Shortcake channels in Spain and Portugal.

WildBrain said in a press release, over the last year, it has tripled the number of FAST channels launched across Europe, now totalling more than 70 channels.

As such, we’re responding to this by strategically expanding our presence and increasing the breadth of our channels launched to bring wonderful kids’ content to families across the region,” Lara Ilie, vice president of AVOD and FAST at WildBrain, said in the release. “Through direct partnerships with all leading platforms, we offer end-to-end solutions to owners of iconic global brands with the expertise, flexibility and economies of scale to deliver a steady stream of curated content to fans in a kid-safe, COPPA-compliant environment.”

WildBrain said it has 150 FAST channels launched across multiple platforms worldwide, with approximately 15 billion minutes watched in 2024.
