TORONTO – WildBrain Television announced today its fall lineup for Family Channel and Family Jr., which include several exclusive Canadian broadcast premieres.
“This October, WildBrain Television is handing out treats for the whole family to enjoy,” a press release says.
New programming includes Game of Talents (pictured above), which will premiere exclusively on Family Channel on Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
Hosted by Wayne Brady (Let’s Make A Deal, Whose Line Is It Anyway?), the show “infuses the spectacle of a large-scale variety show with a clue-centered, high-intensity investigative game, pitting two teams of contestants against each other as they attempt to figure out the surprising – and sometimes bizarre – hidden talents of mystery performers,” a synopsis in the press release says.
“With more than $200,000 on the line, can the contestants tell the fire dancer from the spider wrangler or the chainsaw juggler from the contortionist? Can you?”
Also new is the animated series featuring Strawberry Shortcake, Berry in the Big City, which will premiere exclusively on Family Jr. on Oct. 11 at 8:45 a.m. ET/PT.
The premiere is part of Family Jr.’s Oct. 11 celebration of International Day of the Girl, during which YouTuber Ellie Sparkles will host girl-positive programming.
Other programming announcements from WildBrain include Crime Scene Kitchen, airing Mondays on Family Channel at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, premiering exclusively on Family Channel Oct. 18 at 5 p.m. ET/PT.
Family Channel and Family Jr. are available to all Bell, Rogers, Sasktel, Shaw, Telus, Eastlink, Cogeco and Videotron subscribers throughout October during a free preview.
