TORONTO – This year’s winner of the 2010 Deluxe Producer Internship offered by Women in Film & Television – Toronto (WIFT-T) is Erika Allison Yearwood.
Yearwood joins Deluxe Postproduction as an intern to learn about production equipment planning and requirements and postproduction video, film and sound. She will spend a total of three weeks on site participating in the intensive training program. Yearwood will also be honoured with a presentation at the 2010 WIFT-T Reception @ TIFF on September 15 at Pinewood Toronto Studios.
“This internship is very important not only to our membership, but also to the industry, as it addresses a real gap,” said Sadia Zaman, executive director of WIFT-T, in the announcement. “The opportunity to learn about audio and video postproduction at Deluxe is a real gift and we are grateful for their ongoing support of WIFT-T.”
Each year, the Deluxe Producer Internship provides one Canadian female producer with hands-on pre and postproduction training.
