BURLINGTON – Cable technology distributor White Radio announced today that Laura O’Hare has been hired as national product development manager for the company’s communications division.
O’Hare has extensive cable industry experience. Most recently, she was manager of the engineering technology integration lab at Rogers Cable. Her responsibilities there included national lab testing activities as well as integration and verification of technology. The positions that she held at Rogers – manager, engineering technology verification and support and technical specialist, outside plant engineering – “will be of significant value in the understanding of her customers requirements now and in the future,” says White Radio’s release.

Prior to Rogers, she was at C-COR Electronics Canada for almost 10 years. There, O’Hare was project/production manager, co-ordinating all production activities for communications equipment upgrades and repairs.
She also presently holds a position with the SCTE – Ontario Branch – and has done a superb job helping organize several of the chapter’s recent gatherings.
O’Hare will report to director of sales, Kevin Sweeting.
“Laura’s technical background and working knowledge of the Canadian CATV marketplace will allow the communications group to grow and provide real value-add to both our key customers a well as existing and potential new vendors,” said Sweeting.
