
EDMONTON — Season eight of the Super Channel original series When Calls the Heart will premiere on Sunday, February 21 at 9 p.m. ET on Super Channel Heart & Home, the same time as its premiere on the Hallmark Channel in the U.S.
This season sees the addition of two episodes for a total of 12 all-new episodes, which will also be available on Super Channel On Demand, the day following their linear channel broadcast. All seven previous seasons are currently available on Super Channel On Demand.
Season eight has more surprises and challenges in store for the residents of Hope Valley, with the introduction of some exciting new characters. Filmed on location in British Columbia, the series is based on the best-selling books by acclaimed Canadian author Janette Oke.
The series stars Erin Krakow (Elizabeth Thatcher), Kevin McGarry (Nathan Grant), Chris McNally (Lucas Bouchard), Andrea Brooks (Faith Carter), Aren Buchholz (Jesse Flynn), Eva Bourne (Clara Stanton), Kayla Wallace (Fiona Miller), Pascale Hutton (Rosemary Coulter), Jack Wagner (Bill Avery), Paul Greene (Carson Shepherd), Kavan Smith (Leland Coulter) and Martin Cummins (Henry Gowen).
The series boasts a passionate fan base known as the #Hearties, who have become a social media phenomenon, making When Calls the Heart one of Super Channel’s most social series, says the network’s press release.
