TORONTO – WFN: World Fishing Network HD has secured a carriage deal with U.S. satellite TV distributor DISH Network, parent company Insight Sports announced on Wednesday.
The high-definition version of the 24-hour fishing channel is available on channel 394 of the DISH Network.

WFN airs a wide range of fishing programming, including on American and Canadian angling, saltwater and freshwater fishing, professional competitions, expert advice, international tournaments, travel destinations and conservation.
WFN’s high-definition programming schedule features the sport’s most popular personalities and shows including Dave Mercer’s Facts of Fishing, The New Fly Fisher, Fishing the Flats, Fins N’ Skins Classic Adventures and George Poveromo’s Saltwater Fishing.
WFN originally launched in Canada in December 2005. In November 2007, WFN secured its first U.S. carriage agreement with Verizon FiOS TV. Today, WFN is available in more than 20 million households through North American cable, satellite, and telecommunications distributors.
Insight Sports operates WFN: World Fishing Network in the U.S. and Canada, GolTV, a 24-hour soccer channel, and GameTV. The company also holds a significant interest in the NHL Network.
