
BRANDON, MB – Westman Communications Group has announced its 2019 Board of Directors.
The Board is made up of 11 members of the community and three new spots needed to be filled this year. New members include Jason Roblin (Brandon), Terry Fehr (Gladstone), and Barrie Brooking (Minnedosa) who are joining Dave Mahoney (Chair), Susan Brechmann (First Vice Chair), Lorne Zacharias (Second Vice Chair), Gail Janz (Secretary), Leo Boivin (Treasurer), Chris Kilmury, Gillian Potter, and David Leech.
For the first time, Westman’s board has three members representing communities outside of Brandon – Terry Fehr, Barrie Brooking and Lorne Zacharias.
“Congratulations to Jason, Terry, and Barrie who are joining the 2019 Board of Directors”, said president and CEO Dave Baxter, in the announcement. “We are very excited to incorporate into our Board, more members that represent our communities outside of Brandon. We look forward to working with the new Board and embracing all of their ideas in 2019.”
Westman is a customer-owned cooperative that operates cable systems in 34 communities and offers cable TV, Internet, and phone services. The company also owns and operates local radio stations Q Country 91.5 and 94.7 STAR FM, which broadcast throughout Western Manitoba.
