BRANDON, Man. – Westman Communications Group’s chief technology officer, Jeffrey De Sarno, has been named the 2018 “Independent Technology Executive of the Year” in the Cablefax Top Ops Awards.
The awards honour influential companies and individuals in the communications industry and the award winners represent the best in a variety of areas including marketing, technology, finance, lifetime achievement, customer service, and community involvement, says the press release.
“I am humbled to be recognized by Cablefax and my peers for this award and am honoured to join a group of past recipients who I look up to within the industry,” said De Sarno (pictured) in the release. “My success is a result of the support of my team and the leadership at Westman.”
“Westman is proud of Jeffery De Sarno’s achievement, which reflects the advanced technology and superior products and services Westman provides to residential and business customers across Western Manitoba,” added Dave Baxter, president and CEO of Westman.
De Sarno is the first Westman Communications Group employee and first in Canada to receive this award. The full list of Top Ops Award recipients will be included in the July issue of Cablefax and the recipients will be honoured at an Awards Gala Dinner held in New York City on June 5.
