Westman buys Shilo

BRANDON, Man. – Westman Communications added the Shilo Canadian Forces Base cable system in a purchase this summer.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Westman will get about 550 subscribers from the system, which is about 20 kms southeast of Brandon.

Shilo was a HITS QT digital system serving about 300 customers until a number of the Princess Patricia Light Infantry were re-located to Shilo earlier this year, boosting the cable system’s numbers.

The Shilo customers have already been interconnected into the Westman DAC headend after Westman extended a fibre line to the community, David Baxter, president and CEO of Westman, told www.cartt.ca.
