Web giants investing heavily in TV ads

TORONTO – TV marketing and research association thinktv released some data that shows how important TV advertising is to the world’s largest web compaines.The FAANG group (Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix and Google, in the U.S., have increased their TV ad spend by 60%, while in Canada, TV spend for internet related businesses overall (which also includes companies like Uber, Wayfair and Kijiji) was up 30% last year, hitting $169 million in 2018.
