Waschulzik, Gauthier, promoted at Astral


TORONTO – Astral Media’s affiliate marketing group has redefined a couple of roles inside the department, promotions that are part and parcel of the company’s restructuring of its marketing and sales department,

Effective immediately, Mark Waschulzik will take on the role of manager, affiliate insights and analysis. “Mark’s new title more accurately reflects his responsibility for all of the affiliate analysis for both Family and the Movie Services. Mark is an integral part of the planning process for both Family and the Movie services and is relied upon by senior management for his analysis and insights of subscriber growth trends,” said a memo from Domenic Vivolo, Astral’s senior vice-president, marketing and sales.

“He also is a key resource for the Affiliate Sales group as his insights and analysis of the business will help the group capitalize on opportunities that exists among the major affiliates.”

Maryse Gauthier has also been promoted to Manager, Affiliate Marketing. In her new role she will be responsible for the development and execution of trade marketing plans with the Affiliate Sales group for the Movie Network, Mpix, Family, Viewer’s Choice and GSN.

Her increased responsibilities will also include dealing with more external agencies and preparing creative briefs to be used by the Creative Services and the On-Line departments. “In a very short time, Maryse has been able to quickly learn the business and contribute to the department’s success. Her solid organizational skills and good teamwork attitude gives her the necessary acumens to assume greater responsibilities,” said Vivolo.
