Corus Entertainment has confirmed that some of the company’s top media division leaders have taken on expanded roles.

Ward Smith will now be overseeing both news and audio portfolios, with his title now senior vice president of Global News and Corus Audio. Smith was previously senior vice persident of Global News, overseeing news operations across the Corus Entertainment network, including 15 local TV news stations, national news programs, and news programming across the Corus Radio talk network.

Jackie Moss is now vice president of marketing, leading marketing efforts across all of Corus, covering all platforms including programming, streaming, audio, and news. Moss had held the title of vice president of audio since January when Ronnie Stanton departed the company, overseeing Corus’s 39 FM and AM radio stations as well as the Curiouscast Podcast Network. Prior to that, she served as national director of marketing and promotions.

Tammy Cole has moved from national director of FM programming – a role she assumed in February – to vice president of FM Audio, overseeing Corus’s 28 FM stations.

A Corus spokesperson said there had been no personnel departures as a result of the shuffle.

The company has been working to streamline its executive structure as it continues to look for operational efficiencies, moving to a co-CEO model earlier in the summer.
