TORONTO — Corus Entertainment announced today its W Network channel is adding two new exclusive series from NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming service to its fall schedule.
One of Us Is Lying (above) is a new drama series based on Karen M. McManus’s novel of the same name, which tells “the story of what happens when five high schoolers walk into detention and only four make it out alive,” reads a press release.
The ensemble cast includes Annalisa Cochrane, Chibuikem Uche, Marianly Tejada, Cooper van Grootel, Barrett Carnahan, Mark McKenna, Melissa Collazo and Jessica McLeod.
The series is produced by Universal Content Productions, a division of Universal Studio Group. Darío Madrona (co-creator of Elite) will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Erica Saleh (Evil) wrote the pilot and will executive produce. The series is also executive produced by John Sacchi and Matt Groesch of 5 More Minutes Productions who developed the pilot. Filmmaker and actress Jennifer Morrison directed and produced the pilot.
One of Us Is Lying will premiere Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on W Network, and will be available to stream on the Global TV App and via StackTV on Amazon Prime Video Channels. To watch a trailer, please click here.
The other new Peacock original series being added to W Network’s lineup is Unidentified with Demi Lovato, “an unscripted series that follows Lovato and their skeptical best friend Matthew and their sister Dallas, as they search for the truth about the UFO phenomena,” a synopsis says in the press release.
The trio consult with leading experts and “will investigate recent eyewitness encounters, uncover secret government reports, and conduct tests at known UFO hot spots,” the release says.
This four-part limited UFO docuseries is produced by GoodStory Entertainment in association with SB Projects. Lovato is executive producer, along with Scooter Braun, Scott Manson and Allison Kaye from SB Projects and JD Roth, Adam Greener and Sara Hansemann from GoodStory. Andrew Nock is also an executive producer of the series.
Unidentified with Demi Lovato will premiere on W Network on Sunday, Nov. 7 at 11 p.m. ET/PT, and will also be available to stream live and on demand on the Global TV App and via StackTV.
