Vonage selling VOIP through Alliance Atlantis

MISSISSAUGA – Vonage Canada today announced that it’s first Canadian national advertising campaign will be seen entirely on Alliance Atlantis specialty channels.

The voice over Internet provider’s campaign will see ads on Showcase, Life Network, and History Television, and across 10 other Alliance Atlantis specialty channels.

"Our partnership with Alliance Atlantis gives us access to millions of Canadians who enjoy specialty programming and who are apt to be attracted to the innovative and budget-friendly Internet telephone service that Vonage has pioneered,” said Joe Parent, vice-president of marketing and business development, Vonage Canada, in the press release.

The campaign kicked off on June 27 and will run for a 10-week period. The television commercials give a humorous slant to the so-called “word” VoIP and at times feature various characters that are remembered in popular culture for reciting famous words or phrases. This time however, VoIP will be part of their vernacular. Creative was handled by Toronto agency, Brandworks.

Commercials are currently running on Life Network, HGTV, Food Network Canada, Showcase (and Action and Diva), History Television, Discovery Health, National Geographic, BBC Canada, BBC Kids and Independent Film Channel.
