TORONTO – Domenic Vivolo has been named executive vice-president, content sales, and distribution marketing at Bell Media effective immediately, the company announced Monday.

Reporting to president Kevin Crull, Vivolo, pictured, will lead Bell Media's content distribution team.  He replaces Bart Yabsley who has left the company.

Vivolo was previously SVP and GM, pay TV, where he oversaw the marketing, sales, creative services, market research, interactive media, integrated marketing solutions, and customer relations departments for The Movie Network, HBO Canada, and Viewers Choice Canada.  He joined Bell Media in 2013 as part of the Astral transaction.  Before joining Astral in 2000, Vivolo held senior positions at SkyDome, Hershey Canada, and Canada Packers Inc.

"I'm thrilled to welcome Domenic to Bell Media's senior leadership team," said Crull, in the announcement.  "His extensive industry experience and keen strategic vision make him a valuable addition. I look forward to working with him in this new role and building upon our relationships with our distribution partners."

"Bell Media boasts the best content in the country and I am eager to help deliver these premier brands to even more viewers," added Vivolo. "The distribution side of this business is constantly evolving, and I am excited to take on this new challenge with Canada's #1 media company."

Yabsley leaves Bell Media after nearly 20 years "to pursue new opportunities," said a memo to staff from Crull. "It has personally been a great privilege to work with Bart over the past few years – a period of great change for how our content is distributed, with unique economic, regulatory, and technological challenges. I am very grateful for his insight, dedication, and perseverance in navigating these uncharted waters," he wrote.
