Virgin tackles Saskatchewan with Sasktel MVNO

REGINA - Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Mobile today launched its mobile phone service in Saskatchewan. Virgin Mobile is expanding its coverage with SaskTel's network (it already offers service in Ontario and Quebec on the Bell Mobility network and in Manitoba, riding on the MTS wireless wave). "We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our mobile service to residents of Saskatchewan," said Virgin Mobile Canada president Andrew Black. "The percentage of Canadians in Saskatchewan with mobile phones is only 40% which is lower than the rest of Canada. This is a perfect market opportunity for Virgin Mobile.” www.virginmobile.ca
