TORONTO – Virgin Mobile has rolled out a new promotion called SuperTab aimed at the back-to-school crowd.
Designed for students (and others) who covet the latest phones but don’t want to be locked in for a fixed term, the Virgin Mobile SuperTab lets customers pre-pay up to $500 on a ‘tab’. The company will then take 10% of the bill every month and use it to pay off the account’s balance, without forcing the customer to sign on for a fixed-term contract.
"The Virgin Mobile SuperTab is all about giving flexibility to our Members”, said president Robert Blumenthal, in the announcement. "You get to pick how much you want to put on your Virgin Mobile SuperTab, what phone you want, and even when you want a brand new one. Plus, just by using your phone, you’re paying off your Virgin Mobile SuperTab balance or earning more for a new phone. It’s win-win."
