MONTRÉAL – Videotron’s Ultimate Speed Internet service is now available to more than 580,000 households and businesses in Montréal’s West Island and North Shore suburbs. The company says the service is designed for families and businesses that want to share a single Internet connection for simultaneous downloading and uploading on multiple computers, tablets and/or game consoles.
The new services were first launched in the Québec City area and are gradually being rolled out across Videotron’s service area.
Ultimate Speed Internet 120 users will be able to download up to 170 GB/month and upload 30 GB/month. For business customers the monthly data allowance is 320 GB/month for downloads and 180 GB/month for uploads. Videotron claims speeds of up to 120 Mbps for downloads and up to 20 Mbps for uploads.
The new Ultimate Speed Internet 200 service delivers speeds of up to 200 Mbps for downloads and up to 30 Mbps for uploads. Residential users get a monthly data allowance of 200 GB for downloads and 50 GB for uploads. Business customers can download 320 GB/month and upload 180 GB/month.
The new services expand Videotron’s existing line of Ultimate Speed Internet plans for residential customers: Ultimate Speed Internet 20 (total data allowance 90 GB) starting at $55.95, Ultimate Speed Internet 30 (total data allowance 130 GB) starting at $66.95, and Ultimate Speed Internet 60 (total data allowance 250 GB) starting at $82.95. Businesses receive the same speeds with a monthly total data allowance of 500 GB for $86.95, $106.95 and $136.95 per month respectively.
