MONTREAL – Looking for a restaurant, a dentist, a garage, or a dry cleaner in Quebec? Local search platform Videotron Smart Find has developed a new mobile app to help consumers make informed buying decisions wherever they may be in the province.
The Smart Find app, available for Android, iPhone and certain versions of the BlackBerry OS, uses geolocation technology allowing users to find all nearby businesses that match a specific category, plus see other users’ reviews, likes, and available discounts, all with just one click.
Videotron Smart Find, which lists all businesses in Quebec, is quickly gaining popularity after just four months of existence. Nearly 7,000 merchants have already activated a profile on Smart Find, where they can post photos, videos, specialties and promotions, and more than 12,000 users have signed up in order to be able to post comments. Mobile devices account for close to 35% of visits to the site.
