MONTREAL – Videotron has named Philippe Cloutier as senior vice president and chief financial officer, replacing Hugues Simard who left the organization last month for a role at Indigo Books & Music.

Cloutier (pictured) was most recently managing partner at Mission Capital Group, and has also served as VP of North American operations at Reader's Digest and as Canadian president of Quad/Graphics (formerly Quebecor World).

In his new role, Cloutier will oversee all of Videotron's financial operations, ensure implementation of the company's business plan and will be responsible for the corporate control department, the procurement department and MAtv.  He will also be in charge of mergers and acquisitions.

"Philippe is a brilliant financial strategist who will help propel the organisation to new pinnacles of excellence and success," said Videotron president and CEO Manon Brouillette, in Tuesday’s announcement.  "He is known for his organizational skills and readiness to tackle tall challenges. He is also a team player who motivates his colleagues with his strategic vision."
