MONTREAL – Videotron helped to raise $150,000 at a benefit concert earlier this week in support of the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS).
The proceeds will be used to fund student bursaries, attract talented teachers, promote technology transfer and innovation, and support student clubs that take part in international competitions, the press release said.
Also under the partnership with ÉTS, Videotron contributed $25,000 to the school’s engineering society to help them build their latest prototype – a high-performance vehicle painted in Videotron colours.
“Our partnership with the École de technologie supérieure gives us an opportunity to get to know the engineers of the future and to support their training,” said Videotron’s president and CEO Robert Dépatie, in the release. “It is also consistent with our strategy of building bridges with the universities and colleges in order to recruit the best local talent.”
