MONTREAL – Saying that it’s an ideal setting to showcase the power and speed of broadband cable, Videotron has become the presenting sponsor of the ARCADIA Festival, Canada’s first video gaming festival.

To be held at the Uniprix Stadium on November 10 – 12, 2006, the ARCADIA Festival has been recognized as one of Canada’s premier gaming events, drawing high tech buffs of all ages to Montréal.

"Videotron believes in this event, where so many creative people, companies and individuals from all backgrounds come together," said Manon Brouillette, senior vice-president, marketing, content and product development, consumer division, Videotron.

Videotron is committed to publicizing the potential of electronic games and promoting the exciting gaming experience, which is attracting growing numbers of young and not-so-young fans. Videotron’s 1,500 square-foot display at the ARCADIA Festival will give visitors a hands-on taste of the fun of gaming. It is divided into three zones where festival goers will be able to try out three different Videotron gaming platforms: wireless zone, high-speed Internet zone and illico digital games zone.
