MONTREAL – A partnership with Canada’s first multiplatform film fest, the Festival du nouveau cinéma (FNC), will allow Videotron customers to get up close to the action.
Starting October 10, Videotron will offer approximately 20 short and feature films from past festivals to its illico TV and illico mobile customers on their television set or mobile screen. As well, Deux fois une femme, a film by François Delisle, will premiere simultaneously in the theatre and on illico.
“We are very pleased to be part of the Festival’s development and to help raise the profile of the FNC and the filmmakers at the new cinema fest through our platforms,” said Claude Foisy, VP of brand management, in a statement. “This move to make FNC access available on video on demand during the Festival’s run will help extend the Festival’s reach and bring it to more movie buffs across Quebec.”
Videotron will also sponsor ‘FNC Lab’, a cinema lab which will screen 15 original works plus explore new ways to watch movies. It will also air a daily special called Premières Vues – Festival du nouveau cinema hosted by Frédéric Corbet.
