MONTREAL – Videotron is launching a new Internet service that will offer residential and business customers Internet connection speeds of up to 940 Mbps.

The new Hybrid Fibre Giga service, scheduled to arrive on July 13, is priced at $149.95 per month and will include unlimited data.  The company said Wednesday that the gradual roll-out of Hybrid Fibre Giga Internet will begin in Laval and continue across its service area in the following months.

“We are very pleased to announce the introduction of our new Giga service, which maintains and extends our lead in Internet access,” said president and CEO Manon Brouillette, in the news release.  “Videotron has been an Internet trailblazer. We were pioneers more than 20 years ago, we were among the first to offer high-speed service in Québec, and we have since been able to differentiate ourselves year after year by upgrading our services to meet our customers’ present and future needs. The launch of Hybrid Fibre Giga is in keeping with that commitment to providing state-of-the-art products.”
