Videotron pushes forward with 1 Gbps Internet service

MONTREAL — Videotron plans to roll out 1 Gbps Internet access in the Greater Montreal area, having successfully tested the service in Montreal-area homes and businesses over the last several months.“Reaching the gigabit per second threshold in this technological test makes the potential of our state-of-the-art network that much more palpable,” Manon Brouillette, President and CEO of Videotron, said in a press release. “In light of the pilot project’s results, we plan to go ahead with commercial roll-out of the new service.
