MONTREAL – Videotron is gearing up to roll out 1 Gbps Internet service.The company said Tuesday that it is now deploying Docsis 3.1 modems on its network and adapting its equipment and working protocols to soon offer the faster service, that will boast speeds of up to 10 Gbps for downloads and 1 Gbps for uploads.Beta testing is underway now at select Montreal-area homes and businesses.
