Videotron launches wireless in Quebec’s Saguenay-Las St-Jean region

SAGUENAY, Que – Videotron has officially launched its wireless telephone service in the Saguenary-Lac St-Jean area, the fourth region of Quebec to have access to the service for residential and business customers. There are a potential 200,000 clients in the area, more than half of whom already subscribe to Videotron services, the company says. Videotron says the service will stimulate competition by offering an alternative, and will help boost Quebec’s wireless penetration rate, which is behind the rates in the U.S. and the rest of Canada.
