Videotron gets approval for rural tower project near Rigaud

Videotron last week received approval from Quebec’s Commission de protection du territoire agricole du Québec to construct and operate a telecommunications tower on a rural property just outside the city of Rigaud, located in the regional county municipality (RCM) of Vaudreuil-Soulanges. Both the city and RCM council had supported Videotron’s application, as did the Fédération de l’UPA Montérégie, a union for agricultural producers in the region. The commission has authorized the establishment, operation and maintenance of the cell tower, which is expected to have an area of approximately 2,048 square metres.
