MONTREAL - Videotron employees have approved an agreement in principle between the company and CUPE (FTQ) union representatives. The five-year agreement, which passed by a 95% 'yes' vote, renews the labour contracts of all of Videotron’s unionized employees in Montréal, Sherbrooke and Québec City through December 31, 2013; those in Saguenay-Lac St-Jean until January 31, 2014; and those in Gatineau until August 31, 2015. “This settlement will help us continue our growth and carry out our business plan going forward,” said Videotron’s president and CEO, Robert Dépatie, in a company statement. “Increased operational flexibility will enable us to implement some...
