MONTREAL – Videotron has kissed and made up with AMC after inking a new agreement to keep the American network in its channel lineup.

The new carriage agreement was completed just days before AMC was scheduled to be deleted from Videotron’s list of services after negotiations soured earlier this year, as Cartt.ca reported.  Videotron said this week that the new agreement was “negotiated to the satisfaction of both parties”, and, just in time for the second part of the eighth season of hit show Walking Dead.

“We are very pleased to be able to continue offering our customers the AMC channel, with no interruption in service”, said Videotron’s marketing and content VP Caroline Paquet, in a statement.  “We are contacting our customers now to give them the good news.”

AMC is available on channel 809 (HD) and 209 (standard) and will be on free preview for Videotron’s customers from now through February 28, 2018.
