MONTREAL – Videotron customers with a Desjardins Visa card may now use their mobile devices to pay for everyday items at stores equipped with a contactless payment terminal.
Customers may visit the Videotron Customer Centre to check whether the function is supported by their device and their SIM card, before downloading and installing the Desjardins Mobile Payment app. Videotron will provide a free compatible SIM card for customers with a device that supports with Near-Field Communications (NFC) if their SIM card does not.
"We are pleased to add this new option to our mobile payment solutions, which are making life easier for a growing proportion of our customers," said president and CEO Manon Brouillette, in the news release.
