Videotron ads invite customers to “gig” without restraint

MONTREAL — A playful new campaign for Videotron — launched on TV during the Montreal Canadiens first playoff game last month — which invites customers to use their smartphones without restraint was created by Colab Studio, Quebecor’s collaborative marketing agency, the company revealed today. Playing on the fact that the French words for “gig” and “jig” (“gigue”) are pronounced the same, the ads show Videotron customers dancing a jig that never has to end on their mobiles, using the extra gigs included in their data plans.
