Vevo gets more Canadian


TORONTO and NEW YORK – CTV has added more Canadian programming and sponsors to the music video and entertainment service Vevo.

Vevo’s nearly 8.5 million monthly unique Canadian visitors can now enjoy “an optimized viewing experience” focused on home-grown talent such as Ash Koley, Bedouin Soundclash, Celine Dion, Classified, Down With Webster, Drake, Hedley, Justin Bieber, Nelly Furtado and Nikki Yanofsky.

CTV also announced that BlackBerry, HP, Mazda and Wind Mobile have signed as “charter brands” of the Vevo Canada service, while marketing and advertising deals have also been completed with Nintendo, Universal Pictures, Sony Playstation, Cara Foods, Nestle Smarties, Labatt, Prairie Milk Marketing Partnership, Paramount Pictures and Wrigley.

The Vevo platform includes Vevo.com, Vevo on YouTube and, through syndication partnerships, the web networks where Vevo powers music videos including AOL and CBS Interactive Music Group.  CTV’s MuchMTV Group represents Vevo’s inventory and client solutions in Canada.
