VICTORIA, B.C. – Canadian broadband equipment manufacturer (and small cable company owner) VCom Inc., announced today it has opened a new Asia-Pacific regional sales office near Sydney, Australia.

Centralized presence in the Asia-Pacific region will provide current as well as prospective customers with the additional benefits of customized system modifications, timely on-site deployment planning, single point of contact, decreased time-to-market and dedicated technical support. The regional sales headquarters will also further the company’s visibility in the Asia-Pacific region through country-specific marketing efforts, advertising and trade show participation.”
VCom’s core expertise is radio frequency (RF) technology and embedded software for GigaBit digital signal processing of MPEG content on fibre networks, high level modulation and RF circuit control. The company deploys these competencies in three core markets, all of which are offered through the Asia-Pacific sales office: Data over Cable, Broadband Wireless and Video on Demand (VOD).
The company also owns some small Canadian cable and wireless systems, having purchased Revelstoke Cable, Copper Valley Cablevision and Image Wireless in the past 12 months.
