EDMONTON – Upstart Canadian pay TV service Superchannel announced Monday it has signed on Channel 4 International to supply it with programming, including British drama and comedy series, TV movies and documentaries airing on Channel 4, BBC, Five and ITV.
Among the first titles to be offered on the channel scheduled to launch this month are Teachers, No Angels, Wedding Belles, The Yellow House, Mr Miss Pageant, Hypochondriacs Holiday and Thanks for the Memories.
“Channel 4 International’s programming appeals to a young, upscale audience and perfectly fits Superchannel’s brand. We are delighted to be associated with this exciting new venture from its launch,” said Channel 4 International’s senior sales executive Patrick Roberts.
Superchannel is a national pay television network, consisting of two new HD channels, four new SD channels, and an SVOD platform.
