Upfronts 2019: Global readies a dozen new series, grabs final season of Modern Family

TORONTO – Corus-owned Global will have 12 new series in its 2019-2020 programming lineup, including eight new primetime series, one new daytime talk show, one new late-night series, and the final series of hit comedy Modern Family.

The new series include crime thriller Prodigal Son; the sophomore season of comedy Single Parents, making its debut on Global; single-camera comedy The Unicorn; sitcom Carol’s Second Act; and psychological mystery Evil.

 In addition, Canadian digital sensation Lilly Singh gets her own late-night show A Little Late with Lilly Singh; Girls Trip’s Tiffany Haddish hosts the new revival of Kids Say the Darndest Things; and Tamron Hall (Today) will headline new daytime talk show Tamron Hall.

Global will also have new seasons of 9-1-1, New Amsterdam, FBI, Survivor, The Good Place, S.W.A.T, SEAL Team and the NCIS franchise.
