
TORONTO – Underscored by big U.S. fare and “the most returning Top 20 hits of any prime-time television schedule in North America”, CTV unveiled its new 2018/19 primetime lineup Thursday.
The new schedule includes the dramas, dramedies, comedy and talk show that the broadcaster picked up at this year’s Los Angeles Screenings, plus returning hits The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, The Good Doctor, This Is Us and Grey’s Anatomy.
Also unveiled was new original comedy series Jann, starring musician Jann Arden playing a fictionalized version of herself; a fourth season of original drama Cardinal; the return of The Launch for a second season; and the addition of original satirical news comedy The Beaverton from Comedy for its third season. CTV also announced a new multi-year partnership with Canada's Walk of Fame that makes it the official and exclusive broadcaster of the awards, just in time for the awards ceremony’s 20th anniversary milestone this December.
Parent Bell Media announced the return of Canadian series The Amazing Race Canada; in-house shows etalk, The Marilyn Denis Show, The Social, and Your Morning; plus new animated shorts series Littlekenny, based on the kids at Letterkenny Central School, on its video app Snackable TV.
